Car
To reach Morne Seychellois from any location in Denis Island, you will first need to take a car ferry to Mahé Island, as Denis Island is a private island with limited access. Check the ferry schedule in advance, as it may vary. Once you arrive at Mahé, drive towards the Morne Seychellois National Park, which is located in the central part of the island. The park entrance is well-marked. Use the GPS coordinates (Latitude: -4.6499999999999995, Longitude: 55.4333333) to find the exact location. There is a small parking area at the park entrance. Note that the ferry cost may vary, so be prepared for potential fees.
Public Transportation
If you prefer public transportation, take the ferry from Denis Island to Mahé Island. Once you arrive at Mahé, you can use local buses to reach the Morne Seychellois National Park. Look for bus routes heading towards 'Port Glaud' or 'Glacis,' which will take you close to the park. The bus fare is generally affordable, but keep some local currency on hand for the fare. After getting off the bus, you may need to walk a short distance to the park entrance. Follow signs directing you to Morne Seychellois, or ask locals for assistance.
Walking
Once you reach the entrance of Morne Seychellois National Park, prepare for a hike. The trails vary in difficulty, but the main trail will lead you to the peak of Morne Seychellois. Ensure you have proper hiking shoes and plenty of water. The hike offers stunning views as you ascend, so take your time to enjoy the scenery. The total hike can take anywhere from 1 to 3 hours depending on your fitness level.
