From the main harbor in La Digue, rent a bicycle which is the most popular way to explore the island. Head east along the main road, following the signs for Anse Volbert. After about 2 km, you will reach a junction; take a left turn at the sign pointing to Anse Volbert Village. Continue straight for another 1 km until you see the beach and the village area, where you can explore local shops and restaurants.
Walking
If you prefer to walk, start from the main harbor in La Digue. Follow the main road heading east for approximately 2 km. You will pass by several small shops and scenic views along the way. When you reach a junction, take a left towards Anse Volbert Village. It’s a pleasant walk of about 20-30 minutes, and you will find the village and beach area after another 1 km walk.
Local Taxi (Ox Cart)
For a unique experience, you can take a local taxi, which is often an ox cart. At the main harbor, look for taxi services that offer rides to Anse Volbert Village. Make sure to agree on the price before starting your journey. The ride will take about 15-20 minutes, and you'll enjoy the scenic views of the island as you travel.
