If you are in Praslin, start at the main village of Baie Sainte Anne. From the village, head towards the ferry terminal at Baie Sainte Anne Jetty. Once there, look for the signs indicating the route to the Des Cartier Trail. The trailhead is located about a 15-minute walk from the jetty. Follow the coastal road south and then take a left onto the dirt path that leads to the entrance of the trail.

From your accommodation in Praslin, walk to the nearest bus stop. Board any bus heading towards Anse Volbert or Côte d'Or. Inform the driver that you wish to get off at the stop closest to Des Cartier Trail. The bus ride should take around 20 minutes. Once you disembark, walk towards the trailhead, which is approximately a 10-minute walk from the bus stop. Follow any directional signs to guide you to the entrance of the trail.
