Car

Start your journey in Bo District. Head northwest on the main road towards the town of Kenema. Keep an eye out for signs indicating the direction to Tiwai Island. After approximately 30 kilometers, you'll reach the fork in the road, where you should take the left turn towards the village of Bonthe. Continue for another 10 kilometers until you reach the end of the road. Here, you will find a small boat jetty. Park your car safely and prepare for a short boat ride to Tiwai Island. Note that the boat ride may cost around 10,000 to 20,000 SLL per person depending on the operator.
Public Transportation

From any central location in Bo, take a shared taxi or a minibus heading towards Kenema. Inform the driver that you want to stop at the junction for Tiwai Island. The fare is typically around 5,000 SLL. Once you arrive at the junction, you will need to take a motorbike taxi or walk to the nearby village of Bonthe, which is about 5 kilometers away. The motorbike taxi will cost approximately 5,000 SLL. When you arrive at Bonthe, you will find the boat jetty for Tiwai Island. Expect to pay around 10,000 to 20,000 SLL for the boat ride to the island.
