From John Obey Beach, head southeast on the main road towards the Peninsular Highway. Follow the road for about 10 kilometers until you reach the junction with the Peninsular Highway. Turn left onto the Peninsular Highway and continue driving for approximately 5 kilometers. Look for a sign indicating Lebuma Beach or the coordinates CPWC+56C. Turn into the indicated area to access the beach. Parking may be available near the beach, but be prepared for a small fee, typically around 2,000 to 5,000 Leones.
Public Transportation
To reach Lebuma Beach via public transportation, you can start by taking a local ' poda poda' (shared minibus) from John Obey Beach to Freetown. Ask the driver to drop you off at the junction for the Peninsular Highway. The fare is usually around 3,000 Leones. After getting off, wait for a 'poda poda' heading towards the Peninsular Highway and request to be dropped off at the Lebuma Beach stop. The total travel time is about 1-1.5 hours, depending on traffic.
Walking
For those adventurous souls willing to walk, you can head towards the Peninsular Highway from John Obey Beach on foot. It is about a 5-kilometer walk, which will take roughly 1-1.5 hours. Once you reach the Peninsular Highway, follow it southward for about 2 kilometers until you see signage for Lebuma Beach. The walk offers scenic views, but be sure to wear comfortable shoes and carry water.
