Walking
From the center of Magburaka, start by heading north on Main Street. Walk for about 1 km until you reach the junction where Main Street meets the road to Gibina. At this junction, you'll see a sign pointing towards Gibina. Turn left onto this road and continue walking for approximately 4 km. As you walk, you'll pass local shops and small villages. Keep an eye out for signs indicating the direction to Kasewe Forest Reserve. After about 4 km, you will reach Gibina. Once in Gibina, ask locals for directions to Kasewe Forest Reserve, as they will guide you along the best paths. The forest reserve is located a short trek from the village, so be prepared for a bit of walking through nature.
Bicycle
If you have access to a bicycle, start from the central market area in Magburaka. Ride north on Main Street for about 1 km. At the junction where Main Street intersects with the road to Gibina, take a left. Continue biking on this road for around 4 km. The ride will take you through scenic countryside, so enjoy the views. Upon arriving in Gibina, park your bike and ask locals for the route to Kasewe Forest Reserve. It's a short walk from the village, and the locals can guide you through the paths that lead to the reserve.
Motorbike Taxi
From your location in Magburaka, you can hire a motorbike taxi (commonly known as a 'okada'). Negotiate a fare with the driver to take you to Gibina. The ride should take about 15-20 minutes depending on traffic. Once you arrive in Gibina, you can ask the motorbike driver to take you closer to Kasewe Forest Reserve if they are familiar with the area. If not, locals will be able to direct you from the village to the reserve, which is a short walk away.
