If you are traveling by car from the center of Port Loko, head south on Main Street towards the junction with the road leading to Masiaka. Continue on this road for about 12 km until you reach the town of Masiaka. At the junction in Masiaka, take a left turn toward the coastal road towards Tagrin Bay. Follow this road for approximately 15 km, and you will see signs directing you to Tagrin Bay. The last few kilometers will be along a dirt road; ensure your vehicle is suitable for this terrain.

Public Transportation

To reach Tagrin Bay via public transportation, start by taking a shared taxi or 'poda poda' (minibus) from Port Loko's main taxi park heading towards Masiaka. The fare is typically around 5,000 Leones. Once you arrive in Masiaka, you will need to find another shared taxi heading towards the coastal road. Make sure to tell the driver you are going to Tagrin Bay so they can drop you off at the appropriate junction. From there, you may need to walk or hire a motorcycle taxi for the last few kilometers along the dirt road to Tagrin Bay.

Motorcycle Taxi

If you are already in Masiaka or at the junction heading towards Tagrin Bay and prefer a quicker option, you can hire a motorcycle taxi. Negotiate the fare before starting your journey; it should generally be around 10,000-15,000 Leones for the ride to Tagrin Bay. Ensure you wear a helmet and follow the driver's instructions for a safe ride along the dirt paths leading to your destination.
