    From the center of Port Loko, head south towards the main road leading to Freetown. Follow the road for about 3 kilometers until you reach the bus station. Here, look for a shared taxi or ' poda poda' heading to Freetown. These are usually marked and leave when full. Once in Freetown, ask the driver to drop you off at the Tacugama Chimpanzee Sanctuary, which is about 15 kilometers from the city center.
