    From Port Loko, take a motorbike taxi (locally known as 'okada') to the nearest bus station. Inform the driver that you want to go to Freetown. The ride will take about 30 minutes. Once you arrive at the bus station in Freetown, look for a bus or shared taxi heading towards the Tacugama Chimpanzee Sanctuary. The sanctuary is located near the outskirts of Freetown, and the bus ride will take approximately 45 minutes. Make sure to ask the driver to drop you off at the entrance of the sanctuary.
