From Tokeh Beach, head east on the main road (Tokeh Road) towards the town of Lakka. Continue driving for approximately 15 minutes until you reach the junction with the main highway (Lumley Road). Turn left onto Lumley Road and continue for about 20 minutes until you reach the city center of Freetown. Once you arrive in Freetown, follow the signs for Wallace Johnson Street. Freetown Steps are located at FQR7+FXJ, Wallace Johnson St, Freetown, which is near the area known as Tower Hill. Parking may be available nearby but be prepared for possible parking fees.

From Tokeh Beach, you can take a shared taxi (commonly known as ' poda poda') heading towards Freetown. Look for a taxi at the main road near Tokeh Beach. The fare should be around 5,000 to 10,000 Leones (check for the latest rates) per person. The ride to Freetown generally takes about 30 to 45 minutes, depending on traffic. Once you arrive at the central taxi park in Freetown, you will need to find a local taxi or motorbike taxi (okada) to take you to Wallace Johnson Street.
