If you are traveling by car, start from the center of Freetown. Head east on Main Street towards the Eastern Police Station. Continue onto Pademba Road and then take a left onto the Wilkinson Road. Follow this road until you reach the intersection with the Congo Town Road (also known as the Lungi Highway). Turn right onto Congo Town Road and follow it for approximately 15 km until you reach the junction for Tokeh. Turn left at the junction and continue straight until you see signs for Western Area National Park. The park entrance is located at 8RHX+JJM, Tokeh. Ensure you have cash on hand as there may be an entrance fee at the park.

For public transportation, start at the central bus station in Freetown. Look for a shared taxi heading towards Tokeh or the Western Area. The fare should be around 10,000 to 15,000 Leones. Once you reach Tokeh, ask the driver to drop you off near the entrance to Western Area National Park. From there, you may need to walk a short distance to the park entrance at 8RHX+JJM. Be prepared to pay an entrance fee, which may vary depending on the season and visitor type.

If you prefer a quicker option, consider taking a motorbike taxi (Okada). You can find these at various points in Freetown. Negotiate the fare beforehand, which should range from 20,000 to 30,000 Leones depending on your location and the driver. Ask the rider to take you directly to Western Area National Park. They will know the location, and you will enjoy a faster and more exhilarating ride. Be cautious and wear a helmet, as safety standards may vary.
