If you are starting from Bugis MRT Station, exit the station and head towards Victoria Street. Turn left onto Victoria Street and walk straight until you reach the junction with Serangoon Road. Turn right onto Serangoon Road and continue walking for about 10 minutes. Look for the junction with Kerbau Road on your left. Turn left onto Kerbau Road, and the Former House of Tan Teng Niah will be located at number 37 on your right.

From Bugis MRT Station, walk to the bus stop located at Bugis Junction (Bus Stop ID: 01119). Take Bus 7, 14, 16, or 77. Alight at the bus stop named 'Serangoon Rd - Opposite Tekka Centre' (Bus Stop ID: 01341). From there, walk along Serangoon Road until you reach Kerbau Road. Turn left on Kerbau Road, and the Former House of Tan Teng Niah will be at number 37, on your right.

If you are in the vicinity of the Bugis+ shopping mall, exit the mall and head towards the back entrance. Walk towards the junction of Victoria Street and Serangoon Road. Cross Serangoon Road and continue walking straight. After about 5 minutes, you will see Kerbau Road on your left. Turn left, and the Former House of Tan Teng Niah is located at 37 Kerbau Road.
