    If you are currently in Bukit Timah, start by heading towards the nearest MRT station, which is Beauty World MRT Station on the Downtown Line. From there, take the MRT towards the Expo direction. Alight at the 6th stop, Chinatown MRT Station. Once you exit the station, head towards Exit A and follow the signs leading to Pagoda Street. Walk straight along Pagoda Street, and at the intersection with Smith Street, turn left. Continue walking until you reach Kadayanallur Street. Maxwell Food Centre will be on your left.

    From Bukit Timah, locate the nearest bus stop that services bus routes to the city. Take Bus 77 or 961 from Bukit Timah Road. Alight at the bus stop named 'Opposite Chatterbox', which is near the Chinatown area. From there, walk towards New Bridge Road and turn right. Continue straight until you reach Kadayanallur Street.
