Start from the Chinatown MRT Station (NE4) and head towards Pagoda Street. Walk straight along Pagoda Street until you reach the intersection with Trengganu Street. Turn left onto Trengganu Street and continue walking until you reach the end of the street. You will find yourself at the junction with Eu Tong Sen Street. Cross Eu Tong Sen Street and continue walking straight onto Upper Cross Street. Keep walking straight until you see the Singapore River on your right. Continue walking along the river until you see a park area. The Padang will be directly ahead and is a large open green space.

From the Buddha Tooth Relic Temple, head south on South Bridge Road towards Mosque Street. Turn left onto Mosque Street and continue walking until you reach the junction with Temple Street. Turn right onto Temple Street and continue walking until you reach the junction with Upper Cross Street. Turn left onto Upper Cross Street and keep walking straight. The Padang will be visible ahead as you approach the river. It’s a large open area, perfect for relaxation.

If you're near the Chinatown Complex, exit the complex and head towards Smith Street. Walk straight down Smith Street until you reach the junction with Trengganu Street. Turn left onto Trengganu Street and continue until you reach Eu Tong Sen Street. Cross over to Upper Cross Street and continue walking towards the Singapore River. The Padang is located just a short distance away, in front of you, as you approach the riverfront.
