Walking
From Clarke Quay MRT Station, exit the station and head towards the river. Walk along the riverside towards the Clarke Quay Central Mall. Keep walking past the mall until you reach the end of the quay where you can see the colorful shophouses. Continue walking straight, and you will arrive at the intersection of River Valley Road and Emerald Hill Road. Cross the road, and you will find yourself in Emerald Hill, known for its historic Peranakan architecture.

If you are at the Clarke Quay area near the fountain, start by walking towards the riverfront and then head towards the Singapore River. Walk along the riverside promenade until you reach the bridge at the end. Cross the bridge, and once on the other side, turn right onto River Valley Road. Walk straight until you reach Emerald Hill Road, where you will find Emerald Hill.

From the central area of Clarke Quay, locate the exit that leads to the riverbank. Walk along the river towards the upstream direction for about 10 minutes. Look out for the colorful shophouses lining the streets on your right as you approach the intersection with Emerald Hill Road. Turn right at the intersection, and you will find yourself in Emerald Hill, a picturesque neighborhood known for its heritage.
