From Clarke Quay MRT Station, head towards the exit that leads to the Singapore River. Walk along the riverfront towards the Clarke Quay central area. Once you reach the main square with the colorful buildings and restaurants, look for the pedestrian bridge that crosses the river. Cross the bridge and continue straight until you reach the bus interchange area. From there, you can find buses heading towards Johor Bahru, Malaysia. Board one of the buses going to Johor Bahru and enjoy the scenic ride.

Take the MRT from Clarke Quay Station. Board the North East Line (purple line) towards Punggol and alight at Dhoby Ghaut MRT Station. From Dhoby Ghaut, transfer to the Circle Line (yellow line) and take the train towards Dhoby Ghaut. Next, at Dhoby Ghaut, change to the North-South Line (red line) and head towards Kranji. Alight at Woodlands MRT Station. From Woodlands, take the bus to the Woodlands Checkpoint. Cross the border into Johor Bahru, and from the checkpoint, you can take a taxi or local bus to reach Johor Ancient Temple.
