From Clarke Quay, head towards the Clarke Quay MRT Station located at 10, River Valley Rd, Singapore. Upon reaching the station, take the North East Line (Purple Line) towards Punggol. Alight at Dhoby Ghaut MRT Station (2 stops). At Dhoby Ghaut, transfer to the Circle Line (Orange Line) towards HarbourFront. Alight at Dhoby Ghaut MRT Station (1 stop). After that, take the East West Line (Green Line) towards Pasir Ris at the same station, and alight at Bugis MRT Station (1 stop). From Bugis, take the Downtown Line (Blue Line) towards Expo and alight at the Bukit Panjang MRT Station (1 stop). Finally, exit the station and take a taxi or a Grab to Jalan Gertak Merah, Taman Istana, Johor Bahru (approximately 15 minutes drive).
Public Transport

From Clarke Quay, walk to the nearest bus stop at Clarke Quay Station. Board Bus 32 towards Bukit Batok Interchange and alight at the bus stop at Jurong East MRT Station. Transfer to the East West Line (Green Line) towards Pasir Ris and alight at the Kranji MRT Station (9 stops). From there, you can find taxis that will take you directly to Jalan Gertak Merah, Taman Istana, Johor Bahru. This journey may take around 1 hour depending on traffic.
