If you're driving, start your journey in MacRitchie Reservoir. Head towards the main entrance of the reservoir park and take the road leading out towards Kheam Hock Rd. Follow the signs for Kheam Hock Rd, which will take you past the Singapore Island Country Club. Continue straight until you reach a small parking area on your right where the trailhead for the Abandoned Car Trail is located. There is no parking fee.

For travelers using public transport, take the MRT to the nearest station, which is the Bishan MRT Station (Circle Line). From Bishan, take bus number 138 towards the Singapore Island Country Club. Alight at the stop closest to Kheam Hock Rd. From there, walk towards Kheam Hock Rd and follow the road until you see the small parking area on your right, which serves as the trailhead for the Abandoned Car Trail. The bus fare is approximately SGD 1.00 - 1.50 depending on your starting point.

If you're already within MacRitchie Reservoir and prefer walking, head towards the main trail that leads through the park. Follow the trail signs that direct you towards Kheam Hock Rd. The walk will take approximately 30 minutes depending on your pace. Once you reach Kheam Hock Rd, look for a small parking area on your right; that is the trailhead for the Abandoned Car Trail.
