To reach MacRitchie Reservoir by public transport, take the MRT to the nearest station, which is 'Marymount MRT Station' (Circle Line). From the station, exit and look for bus stop 'Marymount Stn Exit A'. Board bus number 52 or 132. Alight at the bus stop 'MacRitchie Reservoir', which is directly outside the park entrance. Once you enter the park, head towards the visitor center and follow the signs for the MacRitchie Nature Trail. The Abandoned Car Trail can be accessed from this main trail.

Once you are within the MacRitchie Reservoir Park, locate the main trail that loops around the reservoir. Follow the trail for about 1.5 kilometers until you reach the junction that leads to the Abandoned Car Trail. Look for the signposts indicating the trail.
