MacRitchie Reservoir Park, North Region Travel Guide

Getting There

• Car

  If you are driving from any location in the North Region, head towards the Central Expressway (CTE). Follow the signs for the CTE and merge onto it. Continue on the CTE until you reach the exit for Lornie Road (Exit 7). Take the exit and turn left onto Lornie Road. Continue driving straight until you see the entrance to MacRitchie Reservoir Park on your right. There is parking available, but be aware that there may be a parking fee, so have some cash or a credit card ready.

• Public Transport (MRT + Bus)

  To reach MacRitchie Reservoir Park using public transportation, start by taking the MRT to the nearest station, which is the Bishan MRT Station (on the North-South Line). After arriving at Bishan, exit the station and head to the bus interchange. Take Bus 52, 54, or 93. Stay on the bus until you reach the stop at 'MacRitchie Reservoir'. From the bus stop, it's a short walk to the park entrance. The bus fare will cost around SGD 1.50, depending on the distance.

• Public Transport (MRT + Walk)

  Alternatively, you can take the MRT to the Caldecott MRT Station (on the Circle Line). After exiting the station, follow the signs for the MacRitchie Reservoir Park. It’s about a 15-minute walk from the station to the park entrance. This route is scenic, as it takes you through the surrounding greenery. There is no MRT fare to consider if you have an EZ-Link card or similar travel card, just the cost of the MRT ride, which is approximately SGD 1.50.
