Car
If you're traveling by car from the North Region, take the SLE (Seletar Expressway) heading south. Merge onto the CTE (Central Expressway) towards the city. Continue on the CTE for about 15 km. Take exit 1A towards the Marina Bay area. Follow the signs for 'Merlion' and park at the nearest parking facility, such as the One Fullerton or Esplanade parking, which typically costs around SGD 2-3 per hour.
Public Transportation - MRT
Start your journey by heading to the nearest MRT station in the North Region, such as Yishun MRT Station. Board the North-South Line (Red Line) heading towards Marina South Pier. Transfer at Dhoby Ghaut MRT Station to the North East Line (Purple Line) towards Punggol. Get off at Clarke Quay MRT Station. From Clarke Quay, exit the station and walk towards the Singapore River, following the signs for Merlion. It’s roughly a 10-15 minute walk along the riverfront.
Public Transportation - Bus
To reach Merlion by bus, you can take Bus 855 or 856 from any bus stop in the North Region. Alight at the bus stop nearest to Clarke Quay MRT Station. From there, follow the pedestrian signs towards the Singapore River and walk approximately 10-15 minutes to reach the Merlion. The bus fare is approximately SGD 1.50-2.00 depending on the distance.
