From Orchard Road, head towards the nearest MRT station, Orchard MRT Station. Take the train on the North-South Line (Red Line) towards Marina South Pier. Alight at the next stop, Dhoby Ghaut MRT Station. At Dhoby Ghaut, transfer to the Circle Line (Yellow Line) towards HarbourFront. Alight at the next stop, Bras Basah. From here, exit the station and continue walking along Bras Basah Road until you reach the bus stop at the Singapore Management University. Catch Bus 36, which will take you directly to East Coast Park. Alight at the 'East Coast Park Service Road' stop, and follow the signs to the park entrance.

From any point on Orchard Road, locate the nearest bus stop. You can take Bus 36 or 48 from Orchard Road. If you take Bus 36, alight at the 'East Coast Park Service Road' bus stop. Once you get off the bus, follow the signs to the park entrance. If you take Bus 48, you will need to transfer to Bus 36 at the Bedok bus interchange, then continue on Bus 36 to East Coast Park.
