    From Orchard Road, head towards the nearest MRT station, Orchard MRT Station. Once at the station, take the North-South Line (Red Line) towards Marina South Pier. Alight at Dhoby Ghaut MRT Station (2 stops). At Dhoby Ghaut, transfer to the North East Line (Purple Line) and take the train towards Punggol. Alight at Little India MRT Station (3 stops). From Little India MRT Station, exit via Exit A. Walk straight along Serangoon Road until you reach the junction with Jalan Besar. Turn left onto Jalan Besar and continue until you reach the intersection with Victoria Street. Cross the street and continue walking straight until you reach Sultan Gate. The Malay Heritage Centre will be on your left at 85 Sultan Gate.

    Start at Orchard Road and walk to the nearest bus stop, Orchard Boulevard Stop (Bus Stop No. 09071). Board bus 36 or 105, which will take you towards Kampong Glam. Alight at the bus stop Sultan Gate (Bus Stop No. 08281). From the bus stop, walk a short distance down Sultan Gate, and you will find the Malay Heritage Centre located at 85 Sultan Gate, on your left-hand side.
