Car
If you're driving from Punggol to Chinatown, start by heading south on Punggol Central. Merge onto the TPE (Tampines Expressway) and continue for about 10 kilometers. Take the exit towards the KPE (Kallang-Paya Lebar Expressway) and continue on the KPE. Follow the signs for the CTE (Central Expressway) towards the city. Once on the CTE, take the exit for Eu Tong Sen Street. Turn right onto Upper Cross Street, then make another right onto South Bridge Road. You will find Chinatown at 227-233 South Bridge Rd, Singapore 058776. Parking is available nearby but may incur costs, so check local signs for rates.
Public Transport - MRT
To reach Chinatown using the MRT, start at Punggol MRT Station (NE17), which is on the North East Line. Board a train heading towards HarbourFront MRT Station. Alight at Dhoby Ghaut MRT Station (NE6), which is about 24 minutes away. Transfer to the North South Line (Red Line) and take a train towards Marina South Pier. Alight at Chinatown MRT Station (NE4). Exit the station and follow the signs to Chinatown, which is just a short walk away at 227-233 South Bridge Rd, Singapore 058776. The MRT fare will vary depending on your starting point but is generally around SGD 1.50 to SGD 2.00.
Public Transport - Bus
To get to Chinatown by bus from Punggol, you can take bus number 43 from Punggol Bus Interchange. This bus will take you directly to Chinatown. The journey may take approximately 50-60 minutes depending on traffic. Alight at the bus stop at South Bridge Road, and you'll find yourself at the entrance of Chinatown at 227-233 South Bridge Rd, Singapore 058776. The bus fare is around SGD 1.50 using an EZ-Link card.
