Public Bus
From any location in Yishun, make your way to Yishun MRT Station. Once there, board the NS13 (North-South Line) train towards Marina South Pier. Alight at Woodlands MRT Station (NS9). After exiting the station, head to the Woodlands Temporary Bus Interchange and catch Bus 950. This bus will take you across the causeway to Johor Bahru. After crossing the causeway and going through customs, get off the bus at the Johor Bahru City Square. From there, you can either take a Grab (ride-hailing service) or another local bus to Jalan Gertak Merah, Taman Istana, where Johor Zoo is located.

Begin at Yishun MRT Station and take the NS13 (North-South Line) train towards Marina South Pier. Alight at Kranji MRT Station (NS7). From Kranji, head to the Kranji Bus Interchange and take Bus 925 towards Woodlands. Alight at the Woodlands Checkpoint, and cross over into Johor Bahru. After customs, take another bus or Grab to get to Jalan Gertak Merah, Taman Istana for Johor Zoo.
