From Great Bay Beach, drive west on Front Street towards the roundabout. Take the first exit onto Walter Nisbeth Road and continue straight. At the next roundabout, take the first exit onto A.T. Illidge Road. Continue on this road until you reach Fort Amsterdam, which will be on your left. There is a parking lot available for visitors.

From Great Bay Beach, walk to the nearest bus stop and wait for the bus heading towards Philipsburg. Once in Philipsburg, transfer to another bus heading towards Fort Amsterdam. Ask the bus driver for the closest stop to Fort Amsterdam. From there, it is a short walk to the fort.
