Getting There

  • Car

    From Great Bay, head north on Walter Nisbeth Road (also known as Front Street). Follow the road until you reach the roundabout. Take the second exit onto the Simpson Bay Road (Route 2). Continue straight for approximately 15 minutes, passing through Simpson Bay. After you cross the bridge over the Simpson Bay Lagoon, continue on Route 2 until you reach the intersection with Route 1. Turn left onto Route 1. Follow Route 1 for about 10 minutes, then take a right onto French Dump Road. Continue on this road for a few minutes until you reach the trail leading to Petites Cayes. Parking may be limited, so look for available spots along the road.

  • Public Transportation

    From Great Bay, you can take a local bus (or minibus) heading towards Marigot. The fare is usually around 2-3 euros per person. Inform the driver that you are going to French Dump. The bus will drop you off near the intersection of Route 1 and French Dump Road. From there, you will need to walk along French Dump Road for about 10-15 minutes until you reach the trail to Petites Cayes. Be prepared for a short hike as the path can be rugged.

  • Walking

    If you are already in the vicinity of French Dump, you can walk from there to Petites Cayes. Ensure you have proper walking shoes, as the trail can be uneven.
