Getting There
Car
Start from Le Galion Beach and head west on Route 1 (also known as the L.B. Scott Road). Continue for about 10 minutes (approximately 6 km), following signs toward Philipsburg. You will pass through some residential areas. As you approach Philipsburg, keep an eye out for the signs directing you to Great Bay Beach. Once you reach Philipsburg, take the roundabout and take the second exit onto Walter Nisbeth Road (Route 1). After about 2 minutes, turn left onto Great Bay Beach Road. Follow the road until you reach the beach parking area. Note that parking may incur a fee, typically around $5-$10 depending on the season.
Public Transportation (Bus)
From Le Galion Beach, walk to the nearest bus stop located on Route 1. Look for a bus heading towards Philipsburg. Buses usually run every 30 minutes, and the fare is around $2.50 per person. Once on the bus, inform the driver that you wish to get off at Great Bay Beach. The ride will take approximately 15-20 minutes. After disembarking, you will need to walk a short distance to the beach area. Keep in mind that buses may be crowded, especially during peak tourist seasons.
