Getting There

• Car

  From the center of Philipsburg, start by heading northwest on Front Street. Continue straight until you reach the junction at the end of Front Street. Turn left onto Walter Nisbeth Road (also known as the main road towards Cole Bay). Follow this road for about 3 kilometers. As you approach the junction with the main roundabout, look for the signs pointing towards Sentry Hill. You will need to make a right turn at the roundabout onto the road leading up the hill. After a short drive, you will reach the parking area near Sentry Hill. Be aware that parking might be limited, so arrive early if possible.

• Public Transport

  From Philipsburg, you can catch a local bus or minivan that heads towards Cole Bay. Look for a bus stop along the main street, and board a bus that is heading to Cole Bay. The fare is usually around $2.50 USD, and you will pay when you board. Inform the driver that you want to go to Sentry Hill. After about 15-20 minutes, you will arrive at a stop near the entrance to the road leading up to Sentry Hill. From there, you can either walk up the hill (approximately 20-30 minutes) or try to negotiate a ride with a local taxi if available.

• Taxi

  If you prefer a more direct route, you can hire a taxi from anywhere in Philipsburg. The taxi ride to Sentry Hill will take approximately 10-15 minutes, and the cost is generally around $15 to $20 USD, depending on your pickup location. Make sure to confirm the fare with the driver before starting your journey. Taxis are readily available at popular tourist spots and hotels.
