From the Banská Bystrica city center, head towards the Špitálska Street. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with the Jozefa Karola Hronského Street. Turn left onto Hronského Street and follow it until you reach the bus station. From there, take a bus to Banská Štiavnica. The bus ride takes about 30 minutes. Once you arrive in Banská Štiavnica, make your way to the Old Castle by walking along the main road, Starozámocká, which is well marked. The Old Castle is located at Starozámocká 11, which will be on your left.

From Banská Bystrica, walk to the bus station located at Mládežnícka 2. There are regular bus services to Banská Štiavnica. Buy your ticket at the ticket counter or automated machines at the station. Take a bus labeled 'Banská Štiavnica' and enjoy the scenic ride. Upon arriving in Banská Štiavnica, exit the bus and head towards the main square. From the square, follow the signs leading to the Old Castle, which is a short 10-minute walk uphill on Starozámocká Street.
