Getting There

    From Mala Fatra National Park, take the E50 road heading east towards Žilina. Continue on E50 for about 35 km until you reach the junction for the R1 expressway. Merge onto R1 and follow the signs for Nitra. After approximately 50 km, take the exit toward Fiľakovo/Brzotín. Once on the local roads, follow the signs to Brzotín. The Slovak Karst National Park visitor center is located at Hámosiho 188, 049 51 Brzotín. The total driving distance is around 90 km and will take approximately 1.5 to 2 hours depending on traffic.

    To reach Slovak Karst from Mala Fatra National Park using public transportation, first, catch a bus from your nearest bus stop in the park to the town of Žilina. Once in Žilina, transfer to a train heading towards Košice. Get off at the Fiľakovo train station. From Fiľakovo, you can take a local bus to Brzotín. The bus stop in Brzotín is within walking distance to the Slovak Karst visitor center located at Hámosiho 188. Make sure to check the bus and train schedules in advance, as they may vary. The entire journey may take around 3 to 4 hours and costs approximately €5-€10 depending on the services chosen.
