From Martin, start at the Martin Train Station (Železničná stanica Martin). Take a train towards Košice. The journey to the nearest larger station, Prešov, takes about 1 hour and 15 minutes. Once you arrive at Prešov, exit the train and look for the bus station nearby. You can take a bus from Prešov to Žehra, where Spiš Castle is located. The bus ride will take approximately 30 minutes. When you arrive in Žehra, follow the signs to Spiš Castle, which is situated about 1.5 kilometers from the bus stop.

Alternatively, you can take a bus directly from Martin to Žehra. Check the local bus schedule for direct routes. The bus will take you directly to Žehra, where you can then follow the walking paths or signs leading to Spiš Castle, which is approximately 1.5 kilometers from the bus drop-off point.
Walking
If you prefer to walk from the bus stop in Žehra, head southeast on the main road following the signs for Spiš Castle. The walk will take about 20-30 minutes, and you will enjoy scenic views along the way as you approach the castle.
