Car
If you are driving from Novohrad, start by heading north on the main road (Route 78) towards the town of Dolný Kubín. Stay on Route 78 for approximately 20 kilometers. After passing through Dolný Kubín, continue on Route 78 until you reach the turnoff for Oravský Podzámok. Follow the signs to Orava Castle, which is located on a hill overlooking the village. There is a parking area near the castle entrance. Note that parking may incur a fee, so keep some change handy.

For those using public transportation, take a bus from Novohrad to Dolný Kubín. Buses run frequently throughout the day, and the journey takes approximately 30 minutes. Once in Dolný Kubín, transfer to a local bus heading to Oravský Podzámok. Be sure to check the local bus schedules online or at the bus station for the most current times. The bus will drop you off near the foot of the hill where Orava Castle is located. From there, it is a short walk uphill to the castle entrance.
