Getting There

• Bus

  From Poprad, head to the Poprad main bus station (Autobusová stanica Poprad). You can walk there from the center of Poprad, which takes about 15 minutes. Once at the bus station, look for a bus heading to Zakopane. Check the schedule for the next available departures, as they may vary. The bus ride to Zakopane usually takes about 30-40 minutes. Upon arrival in Zakopane, disembark at the main bus stop in the town center.

• Train

  From Poprad, make your way to the Poprad-Tatry railway station. It's a short walk from the center, taking about 20 minutes. At the railway station, purchase a ticket to Zakopane. Trains may not run frequently, so check the timetable in advance. The train journey to Zakopane takes approximately 40 minutes. Once you arrive at the Zakopane train station, you can take a taxi or a local bus to reach the base of Gubałówka.

• Taxi

  If you prefer a direct route, you can take a taxi from Poprad to Zakopane. You can easily find taxis in the city center or call a local service. The drive to Gubałówka takes around 30 minutes, depending on traffic. Make sure to inform the driver that you want to go to Gubałówka, as it is a popular destination.

• Walking

  If you are feeling adventurous and are already in Zakopane, you can walk to Gubałówka. From the main bus station in Zakopane, head towards the Gubałówka funicular railway station, which is approximately a 20-minute walk. Follow the signs towards the funicular, and enjoy a scenic stroll through the town. Once you reach the funicular station, purchase a ticket to take you up to the peak of Gubałówka.
