Car
From Trenčín, take the Route 61 towards Nové Mesto nad Váhom. Continue on Route 61 for approximately 15 km until you reach the town of Čachtice. Follow the signs for Čachtice Castle (Čachtický hrad). The castle is located on Čachtický hradný vrch, which is a short uphill walk from the parking area in the town. Parking may incur a fee, typically around €1-2 for a few hours.
Public Transportation - Bus
From Trenčín, take a bus from the Trenčín Bus Station to Čachtice. The journey takes about 30-40 minutes. Buses run regularly throughout the day. Upon arrival in Čachtice, follow the signs to the castle, which is about a 20-minute walk uphill from the bus stop. Please check the local bus schedule for current times as they may vary.
Walking
Once you arrive in Čachtice (by car or bus), you will need to walk to the castle. The walk from the center of Čachtice to the castle is roughly 1.5 km and takes about 20-30 minutes. Follow the signs leading to Čachtický hrad as you ascend the hill. Be prepared for a steep walk, as the castle is situated on a hilltop.
