Car
From the center of Záhorie, head southwest on the main road (Route 2) towards Plavecké Podhradie. After approximately 15 kilometers, take a right turn onto Route 503. Follow Route 503 for about 5 kilometers until you reach Plavecké Podhradie. Once in the village, follow the signs for Plavecký hrad (Plavecky Castle) which will lead you to the castle parking area.
Public Transportation
From the central bus station in Záhorie, take a bus heading towards Plavecké Podhradie. The journey takes about 30-40 minutes depending on the schedule. Make sure to check the bus schedule in advance, as services may vary. Once you arrive at the Plavecké Podhradie bus stop, the castle is about a 20-minute walk uphill from the stop. Follow the signs for Plavecký hrad; the path will lead you directly to the castle.
Walking
If you are already in Plavecké Podhradie, you can walk to the castle. Starting from the village center, head towards the marked hiking trails. The trails are well maintained and will lead you to the castle in approximately 30 minutes. Be prepared for some uphill walking, as the castle is situated on a hill.
