Car
If you're traveling by car, start from the center of Záhorie. Head south on the main road (Route 2) towards the town of Malacky. Continue on Route 2 until you reach the intersection with Route 503. Turn left onto Route 503, following signs for Devín. After approximately 15 kilometers, you'll enter the village of Devín. Once in Devín, follow the local signs for Stredný hrad. There is limited parking available near the entrance.
Public Transportation
To reach Stredný hrad using public transportation, take a bus from Záhorie to Malacky, which operates regularly. Once in Malacky, transfer to bus line 33 towards Devín. The bus will take you directly to Devín, where you will want to disembark at the stop closest to the castle. From the bus stop, it's a short walk to the entrance of Stredný hrad. Be sure to check the local bus schedule for fare information; a single fare typically costs around €1.50.
Walking
If you're already in the vicinity of Devín, you can reach Stredný hrad by walking. From the center of the village, head towards the river and follow the footpath which leads directly to the castle. The hike takes about 20 minutes and offers scenic views along the way. Make sure to wear comfortable shoes, as the path can be uneven in places.
