Car
If you are driving, head towards the village of Veľký Kamenec. From the center of Zemplín, take the main road (E571) towards the east. Continue on E571 for about 30 km, then take the exit towards Veľký Kamenec. Follow the signs to the castle, which is located just outside the village. There is parking available near the castle.
Public Transportation
To reach Veľký Kamenec Castle using public transportation, first take a regional bus from Zemplín to the nearest town, which is usually Trebišov. The bus journey will take approximately 45 minutes. Once in Trebišov, transfer to a local bus heading towards Veľký Kamenec. The local bus ride should take about 20 minutes. Get off at the stop closest to the castle and follow the signs to reach the castle entrance. Be sure to check the bus schedules ahead of time, as they may vary.
Walking
If you are already in Veľký Kamenec and prefer to walk, the castle is accessible on foot from the village center. Simply follow the main road heading west out of the village for about 1 km. The path is well-marked and offers beautiful views of the surrounding landscape along the way. It should take you approximately 15-20 minutes to reach the castle.
