Getting There

• Bus

  From the center of Bled, head to the bus station located at Ljubljanska cesta 1. Board a bus heading to Idrija. The journey takes approximately 45 minutes. Once you arrive at Idrija bus station, exit the bus and head towards the main road (Cankarjeva cesta). Walk straight for about 10 minutes until you reach Kosovelova ulica. Turn left onto Kosovelova ulica, and Anthony's Shaft Mining Museum will be on your right at number 3.

• Train and Bus

  From Bled Jezero train station, take a train to the nearest major station, which is in Lesce-Bled. After arriving at Lesce-Bled, transfer to a bus that goes to Idrija. The bus ride will take around 30 minutes. Once you arrive at the Idrija bus station, follow Cankarjeva cesta for about 10 minutes, then turn left onto Kosovelova ulica. The museum will be located on your right at Kosovelova ulica 3.

• Walking

  If you prefer to walk, start from the center of Bled and head south towards the main road. Follow the road signs towards Idrija, which is approximately 20 kilometers away. This is a long walk and may take several hours, so ensure you have sufficient water and snacks. Alternatively, you can walk to the nearest bus stop to shorten your journey.

• Taxi

  You can also take a taxi from Bled directly to Anthony's Shaft Mining Museum. Simply ask the driver for Kosovelova ulica 3 in Idrija. The ride will take approximately 30 minutes depending on traffic. This option is more convenient if you prefer a direct route.
