Enchanting Maria Loreto Castle: A Jewel by Lake Wörthersee

Getting There

• Walking

  Start from the Bled Bus Station. Exit the station and head south on Cesta svobode towards the lake. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Cesta za Bled, where you will see Bled Castle on your left. Turn right onto Cesta za Bled and continue walking until you reach the bridge over the Sava River. Cross the bridge and continue straight on the road which leads you out of Bled. After about 1.5 kilometers, you will reach a roundabout. Take the second exit towards the A2 highway. Continue straight for about 10 kilometers until you reach Klagenfurt. Once in Klagenfurt, follow signs to Lorettoweg; Maria Loreto Castle is located at Lorettoweg 52.

• Bus

  From the Bled Bus Station, take a bus to Klagenfurt. Check the bus schedule for the next departure; it typically takes around 2 hours. Once you arrive at Klagenfurt Bus Station, exit the station and walk to the nearest bus stop. Take the bus that heads towards the city center and get off at the stop for Lorettoweg. From there, it's a short walk to Maria Loreto Castle located at Lorettoweg 52.

• Taxi

  If you prefer a more direct route, you can take a taxi from Bled to Klagenfurt. Taxis can be found at the Bled Bus Station or can be called to your location. Inform the driver that you want to go to Lorettoweg 52, 9020 Klagenfurt am Wörthersee. The journey will take approximately 1.5 hours depending on traffic.
