Bus
From Bohinj, head to the nearest bus station, which is located in Bohinjska Bistrica. You can take a local bus from various points in Bohinj to reach the bus station. Once at Bohinjska Bistrica, catch the bus to Idrija. The bus ride will take approximately 1 hour. After arriving in Idrija, disembark at the main bus station. From there, it's a short walk to Anthony's Shaft Mining Museum. Head northeast on Kosovelova Ulica for about 500 meters, and you will find the museum at Kosovelova ulica 3.
Train and Bus
Travel from Bohinj to the nearest train station in Lesce-Bled. You can take a bus or a taxi to reach this station. Board a train heading towards Ljubljana and get off at the Idrija train station. From the Idrija train station, catch a local bus or take a taxi to reach the museum. The museum is located at Kosovelova ulica 3, which is about 3 kilometers from the station. If you prefer walking, it's a scenic walk through Idrija.
Walking
If you are already in Idrija, you can walk to Anthony's Shaft Mining Museum. From the town center, walk along Gregorčičeva Ulica towards Kosovelova Ulica. Continue straight until you reach Kosovelova ulica 3, where the museum is located. The walk will take approximately 15-20 minutes and will give you a chance to explore the charming streets of Idrija.
