Getting There

• Bus

  From the center of Bohinj (e.g., from Bohinjska Bistrica or Lake Bohinj), head to the nearest bus stop. You can take the bus towards Ljubljana. The journey typically takes about an hour. Make sure to check the bus schedule in advance to ensure you catch the right bus. When you arrive at Ljubljana bus station, follow the signs for the city center.

• Walking

  Once you arrive at Ljubljana bus station, exit the station and head towards Trg Osvobodilne Fronte. From there, walk straight down Miklošičeva cesta towards the city center. Continue walking until you reach the intersection with Šubičeva ulica. Turn left onto Šubičeva and then right onto Jakopičevo sprehajališče. The Jakopič Promenade will be on your left.

• Taxi

  At the Ljubljana bus station, you can also find taxis waiting outside. Inform the driver that you want to go to Jakopičevo sprehajališče. The ride should take around 10-15 minutes depending on traffic, and this is a convenient option if you have luggage or prefer not to walk.

• Bicycle

  If you are feeling adventurous, you can rent a bicycle from one of the rental shops near Lake Bohinj or in the city of Ljubljana. Once you have your bike, head towards the city center of Ljubljana. Follow the same route as you would when walking, taking Miklošičeva cesta and then turning onto Šubičeva ulica. Biking provides a scenic and enjoyable way to explore the area.
