From Bohinj, head to the main bus station in Bohinjska Bistrica. You can walk there in about 15 minutes from the center of Bohinj. Once at the bus station, look for the bus that goes to Ljubljana. The journey to Ljubljana takes approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes. When you arrive at the Ljubljana bus station, exit the bus and look for signs directing you to the city center. Prešeren Square is about a 15-minute walk from the bus station. Head north on Trg Osvobodilne Fronte, then turn right onto Slovenska cesta. Continue straight until you reach Prešernov trg, where you will find the square.

To travel by train, make your way to the nearest train station in Bohinjska Bistrica. It's about a 15-minute walk from the center of Bohinj. Board a train heading towards Ljubljana. The train ride will take approximately 1 hour and you will arrive at the main train station in Ljubljana. Once you arrive, exit the train station and walk towards the city center. Prešeren Square is about a 20-minute walk from the train station. You can follow these directions: head northeast on Trg Osvobodilne Fronte, then turn right onto Slovenska cesta and continue straight until you reach Prešernov trg.

If you are in Bohinj and want to reach Prešeren Square on foot, you will need to walk to Bohinjska Bistrica first, which takes about 15 minutes. From the center of Bohinj, head towards the main road (H2) and follow it to reach Bohinjska Bistrica. Once there, you can either take a bus or train to Ljubljana, as described above, or continue on foot if you are feeling adventurous. Walking from Bohinj to Ljubljana directly is quite a long trek, approximately 40 kilometers, and is not recommended without good preparation.
