From Bohinj, head to the nearest bus stop, which is located in the center of the village. Look for the bus that goes towards Bovec; the bus service operates regularly. Once on the bus, you will travel through the beautiful Soča Valley. The journey will take approximately 30-40 minutes. Get off at the Bovec bus station, which is centrally located in Bovec.
Walking
After arriving at the Bovec bus station, exit the station and walk towards the main road (Triglavska cesta). Turn left and continue walking along the road for about 10-15 minutes. You will see signs indicating the direction to Fort Hermann. Follow the signs, and after a short uphill walk, you will arrive at the entrance of Fort Hermann.
Bike
If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bike in Bohinj. Head towards the main road leading to Bovec. The cycling path is well-marked and offers a scenic route through the valley. It's about a 45-minute ride to Bovec. Once you arrive, park your bike at the Bovec bike rack and head towards Triglavska cesta, following the directions as mentioned above.
