Getting There

  • Car

    From Gorizia, head southeast on Via Vittorio Veneto towards the A1 highway. Merge onto A1/E61 towards Trieste. Continue on A1 for about 28 km, then take the exit towards Nova Gorica/Kobarid. Follow signs for Kobarid on H4, which will take you through beautiful countryside. After approximately 25 km, you will arrive in Kobarid. The Kobarid Museum is located at Gregorčičeva ulica 10, right in the town center. Parking is usually available nearby, but be mindful of any parking fees that may apply.

    From Gorizia, head to the main bus station. Take a bus operated by Avtobusna postaja Nova Gorica towards Kobarid. The journey typically takes around 1 hour and costs approximately €5-€10, depending on the bus service. Once you arrive at the Kobarid bus station, the Kobarid Museum is about a 10-minute walk. Exit the bus station and head east on Gregorčičeva ulica. The museum will be on your left at number 10.
