Getting There

    From the center of Izola, head towards the main road (Tomažičeva ulica) and walk east. Continue straight until you reach the bus station. From there, take Bus Line 33 towards Kanfanar. After around 30 minutes, get off at the 'Kanfanar' stop. Once you disembark, follow the signs towards Dvigrad. It’s about a 15-minute walk from the bus stop, heading northwest along the dirt path. The ruins will be well-marked.

  • Cycling

    If you prefer cycling, rent a bike in Izola and cycle east towards the coast. Follow the coastal bike path until you reach the highway. Cross the highway carefully and continue towards Kanfanar. It will take about 1 hour to cycle there. Once in Kanfanar, follow the signs for Dvigrad, which is a short ride away from the town center.

  • Public Transport

    Take Bus Line 33 from the Izola bus station towards Kanfanar. The journey takes approximately 30 minutes. Once you arrive at the Kanfanar bus stop, you can either walk or bike to Dvigrad, which is about a 15-minute walk northwest from the bus stop. Make sure to check the bus schedule for return trips to Izola.
