Getting There

Walking

Start your journey from the Izola city center. Head towards the main road, Trg Republike, and follow it south. Continue straight until you reach the seaside promenade. Once there, turn right and walk along the promenade, enjoying the beautiful views of the Adriatic Sea. This will take you to the edge of Izola. Keep walking straight until you reach the end of the promenade, where you will find a sign directing you towards Strunjan. Follow the path that leads you up the hill through the pine forest. After approximately 30 minutes of walking, you will reach Mesečev Zaliv, a beautiful beach area in Strunjan.
Public Transport

From Izola, you can take a local bus towards Portorož. Board the bus at the Izola bus station and ensure you purchase a ticket beforehand. The journey will take around 20 minutes. Get off at the Strunjan stop. Once you arrive, follow the signs towards the coast, which will lead you to Mesečev Zaliv. It’s a short 10-minute walk from the bus stop to the beach. Enjoy the scenic views along the way!
Biking

If you prefer biking, you can rent a bike in Izola. Head towards the coastal bike path along the promenade. Follow the bike path south towards Strunjan. It will take you approximately 15-20 minutes to reach Mesečev Zaliv. Make sure to follow the signs indicating the bike route and enjoy the lovely scenery as you ride along the coastline.
