    Getting There

    Bus

    From Izola, walk to the nearest bus stop, which is located at the center of the town near the main square. Take the bus number 23 towards Trieste. The bus ride takes approximately 30 minutes. Once you arrive at the Trieste bus station (Trieste Autostazione), exit the bus and walk towards the main road (Corso Italia). Turn left and walk straight until you see the signs for V.le Miramare. You will need to walk approximately 1.5 kilometers along this road until you reach Miramare Castle.

    Train & Walking

    From Izola, walk to the nearest train station in the neighboring town of Koper (approximately 15-20 minutes on foot). Once at Koper train station, take a train to Trieste. The train journey takes about 30 minutes. After arriving at the Trieste train station, exit and head towards Viale Miramare. It is about a 30-minute walk from the train station to Miramare Castle. You can follow the signs leading to the waterfront, then follow the coast until you reach the castle.

    Bicycle

    If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bicycle in Izola. Start your journey by cycling along the coastal path towards Koper, which is approximately 10 kilometers away. From Koper, continue cycling towards Trieste following the scenic bike route along the coast. The total cycling distance is around 25 kilometers. Once you reach Trieste, follow the signs to V.le Miramare, which leads directly to Miramare Castle.
