Walk
Start at the main square in Izola, known as Tito Square. From Tito Square, head east towards the waterfront. Continue walking along the promenade, enjoying views of the Adriatic Sea. Follow the promenade until you reach the main road (Obala). Turn left onto Obala and walk until you reach the bus stop named 'Izola - Avtobusna postaja'. Here, you can catch a bus to Trieste. Make sure to check the bus schedule for the next departure.
Bus
Once you arrive at the bus stop 'Izola - Avtobusna postaja', take the bus heading towards Trieste. The journey may take approximately 30-45 minutes depending on traffic. You will need to disembark at the bus station in Trieste, which is centrally located. From the bus station, you can walk to the main attractions in Trieste, including Piazza Unità d'Italia, which is a prominent landmark.
Taxi
If you prefer a quicker and more comfortable option, you can hail a taxi from any location in Izola to take you directly to Trieste. Just tell the driver your destination is 'Trieste city center'. Keep in mind that this option is generally more expensive but will get you there faster.
Bicycle
For the more adventurous traveler, consider renting a bicycle in Izola. Head out of the town towards the coastal path that leads to Trieste. The route is scenic and will take you along the coast. The ride can take approximately 1-2 hours, depending on your pace. Follow the signs that indicate 'Trieste' along the cycling paths.
