From the center of Koper, head to the Koper bus station (Avtobusna postaja Koper), which is located near the main square. Take bus number 8 towards Štanjel. The bus ride will take approximately 30 minutes. Get off at the Štanjel bus stop. From the bus stop, walk straight for about 200 meters until you reach the entrance of Štanjel Castle.

Bicycle
If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bicycle from one of the rental shops in Koper. Start from the city center and head towards the coastal path that leads out of Koper. Continue on the main road towards Štanjel, following the signs for the castle. The ride will take around 45 minutes. Upon reaching Štanjel, follow the signs to Štanjel Castle, which is located at Štanjel 1a.

Walking
For those who enjoy walking and want to experience the scenery, you can walk from Koper to Štanjel. Start at the Koper marina and follow the coastal path heading north towards the hills. The walk is approximately 10 kilometers and will take around 2 hours. Once you reach Štanjel, head uphill towards Štanjel Castle, which is prominently located on a hill. Follow the signs leading to the castle entrance.
